Healthcare Operations Research

Healthcare networks serving diverse and geographically distributed populations often face significant capacity and demand imbalances. Efficient patient scheduling, accurate medical diagnostics, and resource allocation are complicated by uncertainty in patient demand, changing healthcare technology, and constraints on provider availability. Our group collaborates with researchers and clinicians at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) to develop simulation, optimization, and machine learning approaches for understanding healthcare service imbalances and improving healthcare delivery and diagnostics.
